Together with the Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance (YCADA), and USA Football, Pop Warner provides educational courses for its coaches, trainers, judges and officials for

Show Cheer (levels 1-4), Sideline Performance Cheer, Flag and Tackle Football.

For the safety and security of our athletes, Howell Pop Warner requires our coaches to

complete the following prior to the start of each season:

• Annual background check

• DNA Fingerprinting every 3 years

• Annual YCADA Certification (Cheer)

• Annual USA Football Certification (Football)

• Annual NFHS Concussion Course

• Acknowledgement of Pop Warner Code of Conduct

• CPR Certification (minimum of one coach per team)

• Completion of Team Emergency Action Plan​​​​
