Howell Pop Warner Youth Cheer offers cheerleading for athletes ages 3-17 at all skill levels on both the game day sidelines and the competition mats.
Our athletes learn and master age and skill level appropriate cheer motions, jumps, tumbling, dance, stunting, and a choreographed performance routine from certified coaches and high school aged trainers who have graduated from our Howell Pop Warner cheer program.
Our competition cheer season runs from July 15th through October 30th for our Jr. Tiny Mites and continues through April 30th for our Mitey Mite to Bantam aged teams. We take center stage and "ROCK THE MAT" against the best of the best from local competitions to National championships.

Practice Information:
Practices start July 15th at our HPW field located at
301 Old Tavern Rd., Howell, NJ 07731
Practices are held 3-4 evenings during the month of July and August
for maximum of 10 hours/week.
Practices are held 2-3 evenings per week September - April for a maximum of
6 hours/week at Memorial Elementary School or Howell Middle School South.
Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships
Since 1988, the Pop Warner National Cheer and Dance Championships have been held each December. To reach the national stage, a cheer team must advance through local conference and regional competitions by placing first or second in its division (other qualifying teams can also move on to Nationals after meeting certain scoring criteria).
In 2025, ALL of our Howell Pop Warner cheer teams advanced and competed at the POP WARNER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS held in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Out of the 5,400 Pop Warner Cheer and Dance teams across the U.S., our Howell Pop Warner Mitey Mite team placed 4th, Jr. Pee placed 5th and Jr. Varsity placed 2nd in the NATION!! Congratulations to our athletes and coaches on this amazing accomplishment!
With over 20 National titles, our Howell Lions are leaving their mark on Pop Warner history!
